Solace & Straw was born from a quiet moment in rural China, where our founder found himself captivated by the rhythm of traditional straw weaving. In the sun-drenched markets of Shandong and the flower-lined alleys of Yunnan, he met artisans who wove not just products, but heritage, patience, and soul into every piece.
Returning to city life, he felt the disconnect — fast fashion, mass production, things made without meaning. He envisioned a brand that honored tradition while serving the modern world: slow, sustainable, beautifully human.
Solace & Straw is our way of bringing that vision to life. We create handwoven hats, bags, shoes, and rattan furniture — each crafted from natural materials, each supporting real artisan communities.

We source only natural, sustainable fibers — like raffia, wheat straw, and rattan — chosen not just for their beauty, but for their lightness on the earth.
